1. Initial Impressions and Expectations
I absolutely loved testing out the Nixy Huntington G5 9’6″ x 32″ Paddleboard. I was looking for a paddleboard I could easily travel with, and this one is perfect. The backpack it comes with is compact and lightweight, easy to carry, and fits neatly in my car.
Setup takes about eight minutes and once inflated the board feels sturdy and surprisingly stable for its smaller size. On the water it glides smoothly and is effortless to maneuver. I have paddled it on calm days in the marina as well as in choppy ocean water and it handled both conditions really well.
At first I was worried a smaller travel board might feel wobbly, but the Huntington proved me wrong. It feels solid and secure while still being fun and easy to paddle. This SUP completely exceeded my expectations. It is the perfect combination of portability, performance, and enjoyment.
If you are short on storage space or want to take your board on adventures, I cannot recommend the Huntington enough

Speed and Glide: Offers moderately quick initial acceleration due to its light weight. Top end speed is average while mid range tracking remains steady, aided by the single fin design and compact shape
Rigidity: Enhanced rigidity thanks to carbon fiber reinforced rails and FusionTech construction. The board feels solid underfoot and resists flex even during more dynamic paddling
Durability: Built to last with military grade materials, robust construction and welded seams. Designed for frequent travel and regular use, this board can withstand a variety of conditions

Deck Pad Comfort and Grip: The Huntington features a full-length grooved EVA deck pad that provides excellent traction and comfort. It remains grippy even when wet, making it easy to perform yoga poses or stand confidently while paddling.
Fin Setup and Installation: Equipped with a single side-mounted nine inch fin that uses a tool-less attachment system. This setup simplifies installation and removal and provides stable tracking for most conditions. While it may not match the directional stability of twin fin or tri-fin configurations, it performs very well for cruising and travel use.
Accessory Integration: The board is thoughtfully designed for versatility. It includes fourteen D-rings, multiple action mounts, front and rear bungees, and three grab handles.
